Tips For Washing Kids' Clothes

Kids get messy and dirty. There's no doubt about it. Children often get themselves dirty. 

This is normal.

And while I would never advocate excessively washing clothing, I always wash my children's clothes every day. Think about the different surfaces their clothes come into contact with outside … germs they pick up at school, rolling around on the floor at the play centre, and even just sitting on seats at cafés that dozens of other people have been sitting on.

My view is that it's best to wash everything and start each day with a fresh set of clothes.

So I think it's better to wash them all and wear a new set every day to go out.

I use both of these products at home, but my current favourite is the Laundry Liquid because I can't get enough of the sensational Lemongrass scent. I love it! Both products are non-toxic, allergen free and biodegradable, and importantly they work extremely well.

When kids get stains on their clothes (let's face it, every day), it's best to treat those marks the same day.

 

Spray Natural Stain Remover directly onto fabric stains, leave it to soak in for a few minutes and then start to work it into the fabric with a small amount of water. Any marks will gradually disappear. Repeat the process if necessary. Don't rub vigorously or you'll damage the fabric.

 

 

If the stain is extreme, we recommend following this process by soaking overnight in Soapnut Republic Laundry Soaker and then washing as normal.

 

Our non-toxic Natural Stain Remover effectively removes regular kid stains such as felt-tip pen marks, food, oil, dirt and grime. All within reason of course. The trick is to treat stains as quickly as possible. Don't leave them in the laundry basket for a week or more and expect miracles.
